Manufacturer's Intent: Introducing The Origin—the first in an all-new series from 900 Global that represents the pinnacle of asymmetric performance. Featuring the never-before-seen Ellipse A.I. core, The Origin redefines torque and power with its groundbreaking single-density weight block. Paired with the brand-new RB93 Hybrid Coverstock and finished with the revolutionary Power Edge polish, this ball is engineered to deliver unmatched performance in oil, maximizing energy retention and control.

900 Global's new Origin was a ball that really surprised me when I took it to the lanes. Recently Harsh Reality Pearl was a successful high-performance launch that most users were very happy with. It offered length with strong backend motion and was definitely a correction from previous releases. I thought Origin would be a nice continuation off of that growth, but it's nowhere close to that. The Origin is far, far stronger on the lane than recent 900 Global releases, and demonstrates that Power Edge Polish is a viable product moving forward.

I drilled the Origin with my standard pin up layout, and I was glad I did after throwing this new piece. Origin is a super-strong reaction with nice length through the front of the lane. Had I drilled this ball with a stronger/lower pin position, I may have rendered it useless for my game. Origin is one of the strongest polished/asymmetric balls we have on the wall right now, hands down.

Origin features a new core shape that creates significant track flare. The pairing of a high differential and high intermediate (mass bias) create a very strong core that is just looking to turn left. Layered with a new RB93 Hybrid cover, Origin, is going to need some oil. I haven't tried sanding this ball, as I'm not sure where I would throw it then. But if you're center has a decent amount of oil in the front with some clean backends, Origin is going to be a lot of fun to throw. The thing that stood out most about the new Origin to me was its ability to continue recovering with each move on the approach. There was seemingly no limit to the launch angle that could be used. Origin just keeps coming around the corner shot after shot.

I believe Origin will be in play for a wide range of styles in the store, as long as there's oil on the lane. If you're bowling at any of our medium to slicker centers in the metro area and want to have some fun seeing how much you can hook it, Origin is your piece. If you're bowling at one of the drier centers, make sure you have some speed or an average/lower revolution rate. 900 Global Origin is available now at TBG!
