Manufacturer's Intent: The IQ Tour A.I. takes everything you love about the original and elevates it with A.I. Core Technology, pushing performance to the next level. Featuring the same proven R2S Coverstock, this ball maintains the legendary control and versatility that has made the IQ Tour a staple in arsenals worldwide. However, the integration of A.I. Core Technology unlocks even greater potential—optimizing energy transfer at impact to expand the strike window and turn near-misses into unmatched pin carry. The result? A more consistent, reliable reaction that helps you roll your best game, shot after shot.

Storm's rework of the IQ series is the inclusion of the A.I. core technology into this lineup. Storm IQ Tour A.I. will end up being the natural replacement for users who have aged IQ Tour Ruby or Emerald balls that need an upgrade. It features the same core dynamics as the traditional IQ Tour balls, creating a lower differential, smooth arcing ball that is excellent for benchmark use.

My IQ Tour A.I. features a slightly stronger 5" pin to axis versus my regular 5 1/2" pin distance layouts. I learned long ago drilling original IQ Tours that for my game, I need a slightly stronger layout to create a little more track flare. This stronger pin gives me enough flare and friction to make the balls a little more useful on medium oil conditions. The IQ Tour core shape is a lower differential (down in the .030s), so standard pin positions can create extreme length and limited movement. It's always important to speak with us on ball expectations to make sure we're giving you the maximum window to hit on the lane. With this pin position, I did just that for my game.

IQ Tour A.I. is exceptionally clean through the first half of the lane. I've been a fan of the Power Edge polished balls coming from Utah. It could be because the IQ series is far lower in flare potential, but I didn't see quite as much movement off of the end of the pattern as I would have liked here. IQ Tour A.I. will end up being a true drier lane surface ball for my game. That's not a huge surprise. When you see a differential under .040 and a polished surface, you're not expecting tons of hook. IQ Tour A.I. was mild, arcing, and very long down the lane for my game. This ball is certainly less hook than the Equinox or Road Warrior in Storm's lineup and will fit near the end of the bag for most of our customers.

We'll definitely be recommending these a lot for our no-thumb or two-hand players. These will offer exceptional length and controlled reaction downlane. Also, if you're wanting to stand in the drier portion of the lane versus moving your feet throughout the night, this ball could be very useful for you.
